ASA also investigate junk mail and spam !

Noticed on the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) website that they also now will deal with complaints from people who:

"want to stop direct mail from companies sent either by post, fax, text message or e-mail."

yay, another organisation dealing with this.. on top of the existing two: Information Commissioner and MPS!

.. I wonder if ASA has more powers than the existing two do?
